Spencer was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. At a very young age he showed an interest in filmmaking and animation and devoted all of his time towards pursuing a path in the movie-making business. Spencer first explored his interests on the computer dabbling in animation and web design eventually forming his own business at 16.

Since then Spencer has received a BFA in media arts and digital technologies from Alberta College of Art and Design and a post-graduate diploma in Advanced Television and Film from Sheridan College. Throughout his emergence Spencer has written, directed, edited, and done visual effects for his own short films, a number of which were high-octane entries in local 48hr film competitions. His most recent directorial accomplishment is a quirky comedic short called Officebot.
