Jason Buckley

Second Assistant Director.

Jason was born and raised in Bowmanville, Ontario. Although he has harboured a great love and appreciation of film for most of his life, his penchant for filmmaking did not blossom until his late-teens.

Jason studied Civil Engineering at the University of Waterloo for nearly two years before realizing that filmmaking was his destiny. From there, he obtained a Film Studies degree from Ottawa's Carleton University before completing Sheridan College's Advanced Television and Film post-graduate program in Oakville this past year.

Jason's studies at Sheridan provided him with insight into the production practices of the North American film and television industries, as well as the opportunity to work on several student film productions as Director, Screenwriter, Assistant Director, Production Manager, Production Assistant, and DVD Author.

Jason's most-recent film, "Steal a Car" -- a film which he wrote, directed, composed, and funded -- was shot on the new RED HD digital camera and is currently being submitted to film festivals around the world.
